Pick your pet’s species to load its typical minimum and maximum recorded weight, or choose Custom to enter your own range.
Use the Grow a Garden calculator below to work out exactly how many Sheckles your crop is worth before you sell or trade it. Enter a crop’s weight and stack in its growth and environmental mutations to get an instant value, flip the tool around to see what weight you’d need to hit a target price, or switch to the Pet Weight tab to check where your pet sits against its species’ weight range. The crop and mutation data is compiled from community wikis and cross-checked across multiple sources, and every field can be overridden with your own numbers, so the calculator keeps working even after a weekly game update changes a price.
How to Use the Grow a Garden Calculator
The tool has three modes, switchable from the tabs at the top of the calculator:
- Crop Value — search for your crop (or choose “Custom crop…” and type in your own base value and base weight), enter its actual weight, pick a growth mutation (Normal, Gold or Rainbow), stack any number of environmental mutations (Wet, Frozen, Shocked, Celestial and more), set a friend boost percentage and quantity, and the total Sheckle value updates instantly with a full breakdown.
- Value → Weight — the reverse calculation. Enter a target Sheckle value and the same mutation setup, and the calculator solves for the weight your crop would need to reach that price.
- Pet Weight — pick your pet’s species to load its typical minimum and maximum recorded weight (or enter a custom range), then enter your pet’s current weight in kg. The tool returns a weight percentile and tier (Light, Average, Heavy, Massive) and, if you enter a recent trade value, a scaled Sheckle estimate.
Every crop, mutation and pet field can be typed over manually — useful the moment a new update adds a crop or mutation this page hasn’t been refreshed with yet.
How Crop Mutation Multipliers Work
A crop’s final Sheckle value comes from five factors multiplied together:
Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)² × Growth Multiplier × Environmental Multiplier × (1 + Friend Boost)
- Weight scaling is quadratic — a crop that weighs twice its base weight is worth roughly four times as much, not two, because the ratio is squared.
- Growth mutations (Normal, Gold, Rainbow) are mutually exclusive — a crop can only have one — and multiply the value directly.
- Environmental mutations (Wet, Chilled, Frozen, Shocked, Celestial and so on) stack additively with each other: each one adds its own (multiplier − 1) to a running total, and 1 is added back at the end. Two mutations worth 2× and 3× on their own combine into a 4× environmental multiplier (1 + 1 + 2), not 6×.
- Friend boost adds a flat percentage on top of everything else.
Some mutations look similar but only count once — Foxfire and Corrupted Foxfire are treated as the same effect in-game, so don’t add both to a stack.
Sample mutation multipliers
| Mutation | Type | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | Growth | 20× |
| Rainbow | Growth | 50× |
| Wet / Chilled / Moonlit / Windstruck | Environmental | 2× |
| Pollinated / Sandy / Clay | Environmental | 3× |
| Burnt / Verdant / Sundried | Environmental | 4× |
| Honey Glazed / Plasma / Ceramic | Environmental | 5× |
| Fried | Environmental | 8× |
| Frozen / Cooked / Toxic | Environmental | 10× |
| Zombified | Environmental | 20× |
| Foxfire | Environmental | 90× |
| Shocked | Environmental | 100× |
| Celestial | Environmental | 120× |
This is a representative sample, not the full list — the calculator above includes over 30 environmental mutations plus Gold and Rainbow growth, and you can add a custom mutation with its own multiplier the moment a new one ships.
Tips to Maximize Your Crop Value
- Chase weight first. Because value scales with weight squared, a heavier crop is worth disproportionately more than the same crop with an extra mutation.
- Rainbow beats Gold every time they’re both available — always harvest for Rainbow if you can wait for it.
- Stack as many environmental mutations as you can before harvesting; each one adds to the running total rather than replacing it.
- Double-check for duplicate-effect mutations (like Foxfire/Corrupted Foxfire) before counting them twice in your own math.
- Friend boost is easy Sheckles — bring a friend along while harvesting high-value crops.
- Use the Value → Weight tab before you commit to grinding a specific crop, so you know the weight target you’re actually working toward.
Grow a Garden Pet Weight Calculator
Pet value in Grow a Garden depends on weight, age and ability rolls, which makes a single fixed price unreliable — a pet’s Sheckle worth can shift with demand the same week its stats don’t change. Instead of guessing a fixed number, the Pet Weight tab compares your pet’s current weight (in kg) against its species’ typical minimum and maximum recorded weight, giving you a percentile and tier (Light, Average, Heavy, Massive) that tells you how your pet’s size stacks up. If you have a recent trade value for that pet, enter it as the base value to see a weight-scaled Sheckle estimate on top of the percentile.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Value → Weight mode work?
It solves the crop value formula in reverse: Weight = Base Weight × √(Target Value ÷ (Base Value × Growth × Environmental × Friend Boost)). Enter your target Sheckle value and mutation setup, and it tells you the weight your crop needs to reach.
Is there a “grow a garden calculator pet kg” tool?
Yes — the Pet Weight tab lets you enter a pet’s weight in kilograms and compares it against that species’ typical weight range to give you a percentile and size tier, plus an optional Sheckle estimate if you supply a recent trade value.
Does this calculator account for cooldowns or harvest timers?
No — this tool only calculates Sheckle value from weight, mutations and friend boost. It doesn’t track growth timers, cooldowns or seed costs.
Does the calculator only work for fruit crops?
No. The same weight-and-mutation formula applies to every harvestable crop in the game, not just fruit — vegetables, flowers and specialty crops all use the same value calculation.
Why do my numbers not match a Reddit post or wiki page exactly?
Grow a Garden receives balance updates roughly weekly, and base values and mutation multipliers can change with them. This calculator lets you override any base value, base weight or mutation multiplier manually, so you can always plug in the current numbers from your own shop if they’ve drifted from what’s listed here.
Can I add a mutation that isn’t in the list yet?
Yes — use the “Add a custom mutation” fields in the Crop Value tab to add any mutation name and multiplier, and it stacks into the calculation exactly like the built-in list.
Does this work for Grow a Garden 2?
Grow a Garden 2 is a separate, newer Roblox title with its own crop list and economy, not an update to the original game this calculator was built for. The same general idea — base value scaled by weight, growth mutation and stacked environmental mutations — carries over conceptually, so you can still get a useful estimate by entering Grow a Garden 2’s own base value, base weight and mutation multipliers into the “Custom crop” and “Add a custom mutation” fields above. Just don’t assume the built-in crop list (Carrot, Sugar Apple, Bone Blossom and so on) applies to Grow a Garden 2’s economy, since it’s built from the original game’s numbers.
Does this calculator factor in pet abilities?
No — abilities are a separate random roll on a pet on top of its weight, and unlike the weight formula there isn’t one agreed community-wide Sheckle value for each ability. The Pet Weight tab focuses on the weight percentile, which is the part of pet value that does have a consistent, checkable formula.
Does this help with breeding, growth times, or rarity odds?
Not directly. This tool answers “what is this crop or pet worth,” not “how long until it’s ready” or “what are my odds of a rare mutation.” Growth timers and mutation odds change with game updates more often than sell values do, so they’re outside what this calculator tracks.
Is this calculator available in other languages?
The page itself is in English, but the calculator is just numbers and dropdowns, so it works the same regardless of your language — una calculadora de valor de cultivos, or kalkulator nilai tanaman, whatever you call it in your own language, the math behind the Crop Value, Value → Weight and Pet Weight tabs is identical.
